The Pentax K-1 is the first full frame DSLR from Pentax. It is also the first full frame DSLR that features 5-axis image stabilization in the housing. As is the case in all SLRs from Pentax, the housing of the K-1 is dust- and splash proof. Moreover, space is designed for two SDXC card slots.
In the K-1, Pentax has built a SAFOX 12 auto focus module with 33 focus points, 25 of which are cross-sensitive. The three sensors in the middle are thereby extra sensitive when using a lens with an aperture of F2.8 or larger. You record continuous shots with a maximum speed of 4,4fps. For maximum user convenience, the bright 3'' LCD screen features a tilting mechanism so you can foldaway the screen horizontally, vertically, and diagonally.
