The Sony PXW-X160 XDCAM Video camera is a Full-HD video camera with three 1/3" Exmor CMOS sensors and records in full HD XAVC Intra and XAVC Long GOP 50Mbps MPEG HD 422. This video camera is suitable for: news and broadcast productions and other professional applications. The PXW-X 160 is equipped with a number of attractive features, such as dual SxS memory card slot, a G-series 26 mm wide angle HD lens with 25 x optical zoom and a variable ND filter in 4 different filter positions. All these options make for an excellent workflow for all your professional applications.
Three 1/3" Exmor CMOS full HD sensors and a professional Sony G-lens
The three 1/3" full HD sensors provide high resolution, high sensitivity and low noise. The large dynamic range results in better pictures under difficult light circumstances and more creative freedom. The PXW-X 160 is equipped with a professional Sony G lens with 25 x optical zoom which results in a large zoom range from 26 mm to 650 mm. The lens has three loose rings for optimal control over the entire zoom range.

The Sony PXW-X160 differs regarding the PXW-X 180 in the omission of a number of features such as the WiFi feature, NFC and GPS.
The price of the Sony PXW-X 160 is therefore lower, but the XDCAM itself features the same high quality as the PXW-X 180.
